The earth
met the
leaves,
and arms
were joined
together, where
they hid each
other within the
other
Secrets grew
aligned, inseparable
they became, setting
future's only able
to singularly coincide
Paths begin where
trails end. Arms extend
when the body needs
a friend. Warmth of growth
extending past nature's bark,
commingling forever,
for in the other
exists the others life

Satellite Imaging of an ever Changing Topography
Pretty pleased with the results here. My aim was to paint a variety of views, as one often sees the Earth illustrated, when seen from outer space.
I've always been really fascinated with how the surface area appears, and then how it's appearance alters as you move closer to the Earth's surface, and then even more dramatically once you reenter the atmosphere.
These paintings here are simply put, my attempts to recreate such satellite imagery, with of course a bit of the abstract flare I like to toss about.
In addition, I wanted to administer a real sense of movement and weather patterns.

The Middle Layer
Spent some more time today messing around with the Art Rage program and using some of the spray brushes from Mr. Paint. Thought I'd go a bit abstract today, go figure right? Anyhow I was trying to think of a world that exists above the dirt yet below the heart, where only confusion holds it together. This universe is mashed together as it slowly escapes the tragic (off-screen) as it seems to becoming a comedy in and of itself. A potential tragedy in it's own right. Anyhow just a little something on this rainy Wednesday, August afternoon.
