Oh, I've never cared for ants either. Glad you liked the painting. I find painting very stimulating and enjoyable. Thanks again. Got the idea for the painting in the backyard, had some empty bottle and one leaked through the bag. When I went to clean it up I noticed the liquid seeped into the space between the concrete and there was an ant struggling to deal with the liquid. Thanks again:)
This is beautiful. Paintings of many insects can sometimes leave one uncomfortable, but this one is comfortable to look at, looks like a swarm of ants coming up to see if they could help. I like it that they are different colors, yet still seems or feels obvious they are of the same swarm.
Raven, thanks, I'm glad you liked this painting. Yeah, I completely agree, a lot of the times pictures or anything with a bunch of insects and the like can be kind of well creepy and unsettling. I just got this idea as I mentioned above. I like the variety of colors, which I did for two reasons, the first being it breaks up the image a bit, splashes of variance, for me anyhow, always seem to enhance the image, and then I used the variety of colors to represent metaphor as well. Really glad you appreciated, thanks again:)
