Shades of Identity

This piece I had done the other day.  I was going to use as a companion image to the poem I had composed for Poetics, which I hosted tonight over at D'Verse.  But forgot to include it with that poem, and thought it still should be shown, so I'm putting it up here, where it'll get along just fine with the rest of my paintings.

Beneath The Rainbow's Veil

Was going to name this
pastel interpretations of
a covert identity
but chose to
think of
rainbows
and how occasionally
you'll see them
in cartoons and/or fiction
as being vehicles, like
escalators, stairways or
monorails.

Jungle Clearing Distortion Queue

Visions Lament the haze
Sights shift, merge, fade
then change anew
Blur to blend
Mix to rend
Torn asunder
Grasped
Past
Pixelated recognition

Image plots it's way
Askew to the verifiable
causal pathways
Neurological
imbalanced
when
in
reality
it's but an
empty clearing
with only some old rock wall
and it's dead plant in a broken
vase, dangling thinly
from a hole a fist
once made.

Removable Terrain atop Autonomy

Played around with the color schemes from the piece I did the other day. I really like how this came out, love the green and the subtle nature of the aqua, not to mention the almost hidden white area.

Amidst the Trees and Beyond

Another piece in this playing with color series.  It just isn't getting old for me:)

Perdition

Decided to stick with the theme of changing colors to a static painting.  I really like the way the image drastically changes as you move from the first painting to the last, all with some variations on color and placement of alternating colors.  Paintings 3-5 had some layering to them as well, so that explains how drastically different those appear, but for all intents and purposes all of these are identical.
