A Visual Triptych and it's Distorted Kin
![]() |
| This piece I thought I'd try a visual Triptych, which is three images, which, when put together tells either a story, an emotion or image. |

The Realm Where Nightmares Keep
Beyond these walls
a pristine silence
envelops the earthen field
yet within the caverns of dream
this purity bears no witness
to the ravaging of sleep's seams
Portent etchings carve the dark veil
Transportation. To a world unknown.
One that looks enticing from beyond
bear hellfire to those within
Ominous clouds enshroud above
pathways are in absentia
forcing the feet to maneuver through
Carnage is painted by some marauding pen
Scrawling image to the scry
Infusing agony within the eyes
Skeletal remains litter the field
I dare not search the wreckage
You know they are inside
burning still
yet, what could you do
really, herein this dark reflection,
what good could come
Overstepping burnt passage
Inhaling the toxicity it seeps
realizing
the scenic reminder
will never be
the same
One day perhaps my evening visions will be pastel rabbits and clover greens, but until such a day assumes the dream, the nightmares bleed their darkened screams.
Stop by the NWCU where for this weeks Wednesday Wake Up Call, Natasha gives us a really great prompt, night time, however we may find. So stop on over, take in the prompt and check out those who've already linked up, which, by the way, all very good. Take it all in and if inspired, which I'm pretty sure you will be, compose your inspiration as you may, link it up for other's to enjoy. And while you're there, take a gander at all the excellent articles and offerings within the NWCU.

Neon Haze (Surround/Expand)
I covet thee my sweetest princess
Your locks endow this memory
with the most brilliant of salvations
The haze of your embodiment
shades me in rapture
The euphoria in your ether
expands the individuation of history
into a neon gaze that's harboring our direction
Instinctively your enigma
hovers free, caressing the
incandescence of my dreams
Emotions feast upon
the tendrils of imagination
swaying each atomic particle
into unities never yet explored
An aromatic magnificence,
swirls about your midnight's grace
transcending Jupiter's ghost,
with the phantasms swarming thin
Tingling are the bitten sparks
of those porous remembrances
born within
Your most precious of whispers
replenish all vitalities stolen
by maelstrom's approaching tide
You sacrifice everything,
You robe these shoulders
and foster identities unto those unknown
With the most illustrious
devotions man has never seen,
you comfort me, sating me fully
Take hold me here and please promise
never to secede from the chambers
of my all too often vacancy
I covet thee my sweetest princess
more than mortal men could ever know

Excommunication
This is the last of the group that I worked with last week. In my opinion it's the most primal of the lot, and in so being, the most unique of the group. I see a few things when i look at this, which Is great, as I typically have a single idea that forms when I work with the initial piece and then try to alter that piece using color to change the mood or reframe the piece using color alone. But this one, took on more than I thought it would when doing it, which usually I get the inkling of what I'm seeing form as I'm working with it, rare for me anyhow, probably because I'm too connected to each of them, but usually my perception reverts to what I know the main intention was as I was composing it. This one though, surprised me, and the idea of a collapsing communication tower in a war-torn setting comes screaming at me, along with the main idea I had, and another one that appears when i look at it a certain way. But I won't list them all, because I think the fun of abstract art is letting the mind of the audience decipher the piece their own way, coming up with their own interpretation.
Longer write-up than intended, but glad I covered everything I wanted to say.

Displaced Frames of Genetics Overthrown by The Return of Disrupting Inner Forces
Been out of sorts this week. It happens from time to time, hopefully it will pass soon, always does and in fact, feels a bit like it does when that's exactly what will happen. Feeling like you don't or more like can't do anything, then a day of a little mobility until all of a sudden back to normal. Anyhow, not to pour my "issues" on you all, but this is just my explaining why so many days have elapsed since my last painting.
This piece was basically finished last week, with just a few touch-ups today. I used one of the templates I had and played with it a little. All I could muster. Thanks again to everyone that stops by, I do appreciate it.

Removable Terrain atop Autonomy
Played around with the color schemes from the piece I did the other day. I really like how this came out, love the green and the subtle nature of the aqua, not to mention the almost hidden white area.

Liquid Infiltrating Clay and The Revolt of Pine
Another couple of these pieces I've been having fun with the past couple of months. I do an original painting and then take liberties with it at every stop along the canvass. I love the knife and the images it can create. I love color and how it can transform identical pieces into those that look like lost cousins more than twins. Anyhow here are two more of these.
