Ascending Through Scenes Gathered

I took an earlier piece and played with it a bit.  I wanted to create a scene where you have a stain glass type background off set by a cluster of chaos and in between a cloud-like spiral staircase rising above it all.

Blurred Cognizance

Fading into an unconscious State

Visualized Heat Sensors reveal an ominous presence

The unknown is either real or imagined.  Even though, their images grow closer into focus.

Convictions set Awry, to a Wicked Mirror's Gaze

Mirror Mirror on the wall
Tell me please,
at one end will we see
the destruction caused
by this skewed vision
of vanity

Mirror, Mirror
On this wall
For each my questions posed to you,
how many forests shall burn
from vibrant greens to
charcoal grey, forever
altering both shade and hue

Hieroglyph at the Entrance of Hell

The non-repenting
sinner and those
beyond forgiveness
find themselves at
the entrance of hell

At first it is dark
but then your body
turns to flame, yes it hurts

None of the creatures
sent to ensure your
passage speak, nor do they move

Before you can complete
your journey, as if you have a choice,
you must view the determining
reason for your long-term
acceptance into such a community as this

Along the wall a series of hieroglyphs
millions of miles wide and tall exist, each
telling the evil deeds of the members just
beyond the ferryboat

Everyone has a mural, and here
you find yours.

Roadmap

I was over at D'verse, a poetry community, and one of this weeks writing prompts featured a few pieces from digital artist Walter Smith.  While I didn't partake in the poetry prompt this week, I did like Walter's work and was inspired particularly by a couple of his pieces, the result is the piece here.  If you'd like to find out more about Walter Smith, please check D'verse out for links and more information, and while you're there, check out some of the poetry.
