Don't Put Baby In A Corner…err…triangle or Berzerk LIfe Triangle

The New World Creative Union has restarted their very cool mid-week prompt, The Wednesday Wake Up Call. This week Roger's opened up the floor for any artistic medium.  The Prompt is to create something using, yellow, green, blue and Lilac, along with incorporating triangles, Peace and a Baby.  As you can tell I went abstract, go figure right.  I added a little black into the picture so the metaphor could work.

Make sure you stop on over and see what everyone's created, and the link will be open for a few more days, so get inspired and join in the fun.

  3. I love how you used color and symbolism to bloom the picture into complex interpretations. The following is merely what I took away and may not have been your intent: the yellow upward facing triangles the male/fire energy and the downward blue female/water element, the two required to create the seed of manifestation (the baby). The equilateral triangles convey harmony and the cycle of birth, maturity, and death. The peace transcends the harmony and connotations of the number #3 creating something akin to Pax Profunda or shanti. Thanks, it was interesting to contemplate the various symbols and create a mental picture that transcended the boundaries of your physical picture.

  5. Fred! Thanks so much for creating this art for your WWCU response. It does indeed portray the prompt well! I love the little baby stroller and peace sign! Thank you! Roger ☺

  6. ha - very interesting piece, Fred. Is the title a play on a line from the movie, Dirty Dancing? I dig the symmetry of your art and the whisperings of the seemingly obtuse icons.

  8. Fred...forgive me...but I've visions of Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray having the time of their lives across this fantastic work! Then...I'm struck by the urge to rotate some of those angles...If I turn them just so...I can get that cradle on the lialac path to peace ;) Freaking awesome! SO very happy you joined in with this...really gets folks to thinking as to all the meduims we have to play with in response to these challenges...color this fan of Fred inspired! Thank YOU!
