Winter's Web or What was found sifting through the attic

As most of you who've been following me are aware, I like taking a a template that I come up with and then play with color and color schemes.  So the piece that was posted yesterday and this one come from the same parent so to speak.  Again, I just love how these identical pieces, can take on lives of their own, simply by adjusting the hues, or working with completely different ones.  Artistic metaphor at it's finest in my opinion.

  1. I find myself staring at it looking for something, not sure what but I haven't found it yet. Have to agree, just changing the hues really works wonders on this.

    1. Matt, thanks, I was hoping it would kind of have a duality impression here. Was going for either a snowstorm or a cocoon-lke web.

    1. thanks betsy, I like that interpretation. I've always found it fascinating what patterns the ice can make, and you're in basically the same region as me, so you're also well aware of ice and snow. Thanks

  3. Hiya Fred,

    BRILL!!!
Didn't realize you had a visual counterpart to your poetry.
Really liked these manipulations and the originals too. The light house, a few posts back, is a winner.
Maybe we could do an original art+words link up some day. So much better to see people's own work rather than the wiki or 'borrowed' images.
    Wonderful to find this.

    1. Thanks Aprille, Yeah I do some different things on this site, but mainly it's for my artwork, paintings and photos in particular. Really glad you enjoy the site. And the art+words link sounds like a good idea. Thanks
